This is strong stuff.

Perry Stone is a teacher well known for teaching the deep things of the Hebrew language. He is always well worth watching, you should change your schedule to view him if you can. He's on TBN, Daystar, Church Channel, CTN, INSP, Cornerstone, & Sky Angel. His website is www.perrystone.org.

Let me give you some notes on what he taught this week. I have added my own notes in places to enhance this.

First of all, I have been told that the Hebrew language is 3 dimensional - meaning that each letter has:

First: it's obvious letter meaning
aleph = {silent}; bet = B, and so on.
Their alphabet is called the alephbet. Very similar to our name for it.
Tav is the last letter in the alphabet. 22 characters in all.

Second: every letter has it's symbolic meaning
aleph = ox, ox means strength, leader, first, servant
bet = house, tent

Third: all letters have their numeric meaning
aleph = 1, bet = 2
Numerical equivalent for tav is 400, the last letter.

There are no vowels in the language, they use marks around the consonants to designate which vowel to use. Two characters are silent.

So scholars research words, then research root words, then research symbolism, then research numerical meanings, like an intricate puzzle.

Well, it keeps going. You are going to be amazed at this...
The numerical meaning can go deeper than the word.
In the Hebrew, Ha satan = satan. Adding up the numerical meaning = 364

So what does that mean?

In Hebrew custom for their feasts, the one day satan cannot touch a person's life is the day of Atonement.
365 days in a year - 364 (the number of satan) = 1 day he cannot touch them. His power was bound. Nothing could hinder that day for them. Atonement is the 6th feast. Six is the number of man. Reference Leviticus chapter 16.

I believe you begin to see it now.

My notes:
Understand that applies to the OT, we are under a continual day of redemption now. Redemption is better than atonement. Atonement = cover. To redeem something is to buy it back. Observe 1 Corinthians 6:20 - for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Also 1 Corinthians 7:23 - You are bought with a price, do not be the slaves of men.

Paul also referred to this as the day of grace.

You have been redeemed, do not think any longer that satan has a right to touch your life. Command him and put up with nothing at all from him. Understand that praise and worship is one of your best weapons against him.

Continuing with Perry, of course, he doesn't stop there. He never does stop at the simple stuff.

The Esther code:
In the book of Esther, Haman is a type of the anti-Christ listed in Revelation 17:12-14.
Haman wanted to kill the Jews, the anti-Christ wants to do the same.
Hitler was also considered a type of the anti-Christ...

Oh, you are so not ready for this...

In Esther 9:6-32, Haman and his 10 sons were slain, then hanged on the gallows... at Esther's request!

The Jews established a feast after this event - which they named Purim.

Remember, Esther is a type of the Christ in this... She is savior to the Jews...

Oh, wait a minute, if they were already slain, why hung on the gallows?

It was customary to do that in those days to put the deceased on display for an example to the people that you don't cross the king. Even England did that. Remember Braveheart? Once slain, his body was quartered and put on stakes in the 4 corners of England, with the head on a spike in London. This was also referred to as hanging, so the tradition went forward for centuries.

Think about that and now read this from Colossians 2:15, speaking of the work that Yeshua (Jesus) did in hell: Having stripped rulers and authorities, He made a show of them publicly, triumphing over them in it.

He put them on display! You should shout at that!

But that's not the only significant part to this...

Take the names of the 10 sons of Haman (Esther 9:7-9) - in the ancient Hebrew there are 3 letters that are sized 1/2 scale to the others. Why are they different? Hebrew scholars decided to add up the numerical values of these characters. The sum came up to the Jewish year 5706 (5000 is current era, 706 is the sum from the names) - which is the year 1946 on our Gregorian calendar...

Ready for this?

On October 16, 1946 there were 11 Nazi war criminals to be hung for their war crimes against the Jews. They were called the Nuremberg defendants.

Just like Haman and his sons.

Except there is a distinction to note here.

Haman built 10 gallows, not 11.

Why is that?

In Esther, in the original Hebrew, it says that they put the 10 sons on the gallows and hung them...
Haman was not put on the gallows in Esther 9:25 - reference that against 9:13. Our English Bible tells us that Haman was put on the gallows, but the Hebrew does not say that.

What happened to him then? Executed?

He had already been hanged on the gallows. He died in advance of his sons. Esther 7:7-10.

Back to the events in 1946, there were 11 Nuremberg defendants to be hanged, but ONE committed suicide... leaving 10 to be hanged. Hermann Goring committed suicide - it's believed he took a cyanide capsule. So he died in advance of the 10 others. Oh, did you notice the similarity to the names? Haman... Hermann... Hermann Goring was considered to be the most important surviving official in the Third Reich after Hitler's death. Sound similar to Haman's position, doesn't it? Haman was second in command in Persia.

Details of the Nuremberg Trials can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Trials

All of this concerning Haman and Hermann is, of course, no coincidence...

Makes history more interesting, doesn't it?

Now, are you really ready for the rest of this? Are you sitting down? You may need a seatbelt too...

You can't possibly be ready for this...

The Nuremberg defendants were hung on the day of Purim - the Hebrew feast celebrating the day the Jews were saved from Haman / queen Esther's victory... (Esther 9:17-28). That feast happens one day a year.

That shot through me like lightning!

Hold on now, we are not done yet...

Back to the Hebrew alphabet.

Many scholars believe that Hebrew is the first language and also believed to be the Divine Language.

So let's take a look at the symbolism in the Hebrew alphabet...

First character: aleph = ox
Last character: tav = cross

It starts with animal sacrifices and ended with the cross.

God is SO REAL...

But it's not done yet... never seems to be done...

Now get this, when Jesus said "I am the Alpha and Omega" - that's the Greek language.
If He said in it Hebrew, He would have said "I am the Aleph and the Tav"

The sacrifice on the cross! The leader, the strong one, the servant, the first on the cross...

That is so strong and so real...

It is truly amazing!

truth.passion.excellence

Guard Your Heart...

At a recent Bible study, we ended discussing Proverbs 4:23 just a little bit. It was discussed that the term popularly used was heart, but that it is actually referring to your mind. I thought it would be a good idea to expand that discussion in this blog, so let's take a quick look at it.

Proverbs 4:23 (AMP) - Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:23 (CEV) - Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.

In the original Hebrew, the word used for heart is "labe" which means:
The feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the center of anything (center of our thinking)
Did you notice that the feelings = the emotions, the will and the intellect = the mind? In other words, mind, will and emotions...

We can see that the CEV used a more accurate term. Let's clarify it by defining the mind:
The mind contains all of these: the thinking processes (what we stereotypically refer to as the mind), the will and the emotions. This comes from what I've found on the mind in the New Testament where mind, soul and heart are often interchangeable terms.

I like to subdivide things like this, just to help make a distinction:
The mind = thinking the reasoning
The heart = thinking with the emotions

Now if you have ever considered it carefully, you will find that when you are influenced by your emotions, that you actually have a thinking process to it. It might not be a very clear thinking process, but it does exist. This makes it evident that emotions are not separate from the mind.

Both the "mind" and the "heart" as described above are important in the thinking process. The reasoning (mind) being the practical side and the emotions (heart) being the abstract side. That's my view on things.

A real important question exists here - what is influencing your thinking? In Romans 8, it is plainly spelled out for us that we can walk in the mind of the flesh or the mind of the spirit. Do you want your thinking to be influenced by natural carnal inputs or spiritual inputs? Do you have a battle of the mind going on inside where these two sides are fighting it out? You know you can't go with the fleshly carnal mind. Tell it to shut up, go on a fast, discipline it, anything you can do to quiet that voice. Then do things to strengthen the spiritual voice. Read the Word, pray, meditate, worship, praise. When it comes to getting spiritual strength quickly, I have found worship to work best for me.

What works best for you?

Focused on the high calling...
Philippians 3:13-14

truth.passion.excellence

Happy (Overcoming) New Year

With this, I am sending you prayers for the best year you have ever experienced.

In 2009, may you:

1. Daily find that secret place of peace deep inside to be alone with YHVH God.

2. Daily tap into the strength of the Word and the Holy Spirit that enable you to live a life free from sin. (Can't do it on your own strength.)

6. Move to a higher level with YHVH God than you had ever previously imagined.

7. Pursue a relationship of excellence with YHVH God that astounds even you.

Philippians 3:13-14

No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.

This is the nature of the High Calling. To achieve the high calling, we must forget the past and focus our energies on the Word, prayer and worship. This is of the utmost importance. There is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING you can do that is more important than this.

I wanted to leave you with an important Word at the end of 2008 and looking into 2009:

I am typically not one to talk about the future, but there are things coming that will "separate the men from the boys" spiritually speaking. On the one hand, there will be great, astounding, amazing miracles. On the other hand, there will be people fall from grace. There may be more scandals, there may not. Persecution of Christianity will likely increase. If only I had time to tell you about all the different things I'm hearing about on several fronts.

Anyway, the point is that we are to focus on overcoming with our faith. Anything, I repeat, ANYTHING that you let slide in your life will turn into a festering sore that will not leave you alone. The Bible tells us that only those who OVERCOME with their faith get to enter into the joy of the Lord. (Parable of the talents, Matt 25:14-30 - I recommend reading it.) It's not often heard, but the Father requires overcoming faith, faith with excellence. Why? The answer has many aspects to it, yet the answer is very simple:

1. YHVH God is an overcomer. If He were not, there would be no plan of salvation.

2. We are to be like Him if we are to be with Him in eternity (fortunately for us, we get use His strength to be like Him, not ours).

3. Spiritual outlaws cannot be permitted in heaven - for anything permitted, grows. This is the great deception the enemy uses on mankind to get them to think that compromise is OK. Newsflash - compromise is NOT OK.

Here is the Word from Revelation to underscore the importance of using our faith to overcome:

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.

Revelation 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.

Revelation 2:26-29 To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations--

    'He will rule them with an iron scepter;
he will dash them to pieces like pottery'-- just as I have received authority from my Father.
I will also give him the morning star.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 3:5-6 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
8 But the cowardly [fearful], the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

There is a very obvious pattern to all this. In Revelation 2 & 3, churches are being admonished [scolded] for compromising, yet the reward for overcoming is always mentioned in each instance. The spirit spoke the word of admonition to 7 churches, and there are 7 places where the words "to him that overcomes" is used. That's not a coincidence.

Then Revelation 17 speaks of when the Lamb [Jesus, Yeshua] will overcome the enemies of the beast. This is one of many examples of our Savior being an overcomer.

Finally, Revelation 21 speaks of the glorious day when the new Jerusalem settles on the earth to stay. God moves in with man. Just imagine that. Dwell on it for a loooonnnngggg time......................

Now that you've thought about it, consider that it is only the overcomers mentioned in verse 7 who inherit this Holy Kingdom. Verse 8 mentions those who don't. Plain as day. No minced words.

So I ask, which crowd do you want to be in?

truth.passion.excellence

Worship

As defined by the masses, worship is often seen as us praising God for a while, then walking away. It seems that it's all about our participation. Do you see the selfishness of the motivation behind that?

God wants to be involved. Let's let Him participate in our worship! Here are a couple of insights that I'm sure have been touched on at various times about worship. Let's dare to go deeper:

1. Worship Him by letting Him speak to you. Find a way to be quiet and still before Him. Like a radio station that's always broadcasting, He's always speaking, the question is, are we tuned in? Are we within range? In other words, are we listening or at least attempting to listen? Are we moving closer to get better reception?

2. Allow the Holy Spirit to worship the Father through you. Tell him to ignore any of your internal limitations and worship with all that He can work through you. Maybe that strikes your ear as odd, but think of this: those who worship Him must worship Him in SPIRIT and in truth. The spirit has no limitations, only the mind and the flesh do. Don't let your mind put limitations on what God can do through you. Be ready to be overwhelmed when you implement this.

John 4:23-24 (AMP - with my notes in brackets) A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality) [truth in revelation]; for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality) [truth in revelation].

Note that the Greek word for Spirit is the same in all places in those scriptures. There will be more to come on the Spirit in the future, there's too much to tell about it here.

Just to add more icing to this cake, check out the Greek definition of worship in the above verses. It is overwhelming.

proskuneō - meaning to kiss; to fawn or crouch to, that is, (literally or figuratively) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore): - worship.

Think of it, worship from us is like kisses to the Father. Those who are parents know that there is no kiss as sweet as the precious kiss from a child. We are to come to Him as a little child... and kiss Him. Do we dare to kiss the face of almighty Yehovah God? Have we strived to do that?

truth.passion.excellence

Tuesday, November 04, 2008

The Love of the Father

When in your prayer time, you get to enjoy your Eden, your secret place, your precious possession, your source of oxygen, your deliverance, your lifeline. Nothing compares to it. Never forget that. Never let it diminish.

This chorus from "Constant" by Building 429 gives a very good perspective of how we should view our relationship to the YHVH God, the Holy Father:

I am consumed with You
I can't live without You
Breathe without You
I must confess to You
That I can't live without You
Breathe without Your love

Since that chorus mentions love, let's continue with that thought...

Here is a picture of how much YHVH God the Holy Father loves us - of all the things He created, He spoke them into existence - except for man. Read Genesis chapter 2 and see it right there in the text. He formed us from the dust of the ground. The word "formed" means to shape with hands. He put His own hands into creating the first human being! Think of that. He didn't do that with anything else He created! Then once this human being was formed, He breathed His own breath into it to cause it to come to life! This is solid insight: The breath of God is the Holy Spirit. You see, in the Hebrew and in the Greek, the word for Spirit is defined as "a current of air, breath."

Another solid picture of His love for us is that He created all the planets, stars, etc. before He ever made man. The stars were all given a song to sing before man was created. Yet they sing for us. Look at this chorus from another Building 429 song:

You, You're singing over me
You're singing over me tonight
With every star that's in this midnight sky
You, You're singing over me
You're singing over me tonight
And my heart is overcome with Your song
with Your song

Yet another beautiful picture of His precious love for us is when He brought all the animals to Adam to be named. Think of it like this - a dad brings home a puppy for his little boy that he loves with all his heart and soul and he says to the boy, "Come here buddy, daddy brought you a puppy. What do you want to name it?"

I can't stop the tears just thinking about it. YHVH God the Holy Father did that over and over and over again with Adam... He kept lavishing His love on him over and over and over again...

"What do you want to name it son? Okay, I like that name, so that's what it is..." "By the way son, I love you."
"Wait son, here's another one. What do you want to name this one?" Okay, I like that name too, so that's what it is..." "I love you son..."

Is it overwhelming yet? It's overwhelming me here, that's for sure...

And it doesn't stop there...

In Romans 8:15 it says that we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry out Abba, Father.

Every culture on the planet has an endearing term for their fathers. For some it's daddy, dadda, pappa, for others, poppy (Japan) or pappy (Latin American countries). For me, I call my dad pop. He's the only one on the planet that gets that title from me. It's my endearing term for him.

Get this! Abba is Aramaic for just that! Abba is the most precious title a child can give a father. We get to love YHVH God as intensely as He loves us. We get to run into His arms with abandonment. We get to jump into His arms freely as a small child does to their loving parent / grandparent... no hesitation, no fear, no holding anything back... just pure abandonment...

Go to Him today... He's waiting with arms wide open... Listen... this is what He's saying...

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
Now everything has changed
I'll show you love
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open

I hope this minsters to and blesses you as much as it continues to minister and bless me...

truth.passion.excellence

The Eaglet

There was once an eaglet that had lost it's parents and wound up being raised with chickens. This happened before the eaglet knew how to fly. It watched how the chickens pecked the ground and tried to do the same, but never understood why it's beak was different and just wouldn't work to peck the ground. It wondered why it's feathers were turning brown when all of the chickens in the coop had white feathers. It wondered why it was growing so much bigger than the chickens too...

The eaglet saw other birds fly around the area and asked the chickens why he was so different and why he didn't fly too. The chickens were simple. They answered "You can't fly, you're a chicken." This left the eaglet so disappointed. He felt as if his dream to fly was crushed...

One day, an eagle soared overhead and the eaglet spotted it. This caused the eaglet to be inspired. It thought "that must be what I'm made for because this seems so wrong here. I look like that, I don't look like these chickens." This went on for days. The eaglet couldn't stop thinking about it. Then the day came that the eaglet decided that it was going to try to fly like the bird it saw overhead. He believed he could fly. He told himself so...

The eaglet tried and tried with no success at first, but after some time, it finally managed to get airborn for a few seconds. That's when the eaglet knew his dream was a reality. He now knew he was destined for something greater...

The eaglet never stopped trying to fly and eventually was able to leave the chicken coop and soar high above the ground. He had realized his destiny. It had been calling him all that time he was pecking around in the dirt...

Think about this... would you rather be pecking around in the dirt with the chickens that say "You can't..." or would you rather soar high like an eagle and realize your destiny?

You CAN do all things through Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) which strengthens you. If someone says you can't, chose not to believe them.

truth.passion.excellence

Revealed Knowledge

I want to first state a few truths that must be understood by all Christians.
Revelation is hearing God (Yahweh, Yehovah, YHVH) speak to you.
Some people call revelation by different things, such as epiphany, brainstorm, saw the light, it dawned on me, etc.

Understand that everyone has had this type of experience at one time or another when studying a book for a class - for instance when something finally made sense after studying something over and over...

With that in mind, let's discover what the Word says about revelation.

Please read I Kings 3:3-15a

Many people believe that Solomon asked for wisdom. That is not wholly true. Read verse 9 again, what did he actually ask for?
He asked for an understanding heart, a heart to hear God.
The benefits of a hearing heart are outlined in verses 12-14 - honor, riches and long life. Solomon humbly asked for a heart to hear YHVH God so that he can rule the people justly. Can you see that Solomon had a desire to serve the people with justice?

Please read Matthew 16:13-19

What does all this mean in the Greek?
Blessed = Supremely blessed!

Jesus called Simon "petros" - meaning a "little rock" in the Greek. He didn't call him Peter.
Then later Jesus (Yehsua) says: Upon this ROCK I will build my church.
The Greek here is Petra - mass of rock, bedrock, BIG ROCK.
Revelation is the bedrock that the church is built upon.

Even salvation has to come to a person by revelation.

No revelation = no church, no salvation, no life, no light, no liberty, no healing, etc.

Of course, revelation must agree with the Word of the one true living, almighty and gracious God YHVH. It takes practice to hear His voice. The first time, the light might seem hazy, or like a muffled voice. Over time, the practitioner develops this ability to hear the almighty and true God YHVH and more exact things are discerned. That is when the hearer can hear YHVH God clearly enough to understand the instruction and act on it.

Is there a way to get revelation to happen? Yes. It takes some work, but generally, early revelations come easily. Meditation of a scripture is one of the highest forms of "chasing" a revelation. I recommend it completely.

Meditation = a quiet, still place (worship music or some source of "white" noise is fine), thinking about the scripture over and over in prayer, praying the scripture, examining what happened just before and just after the scripture...

Many men have tried to figure out scripture with their mind alone. That is how denominations and misinterpretations came into being. Using your mind is not a bad thing, just don't rely on it as the primary source. Learn to listen to your spirit. The Holy Spirit will talk to you through your spirit. Having this happen many many times will result in your mind being renewed to the truth. It is then that you begin to think as the one true almighty and living YHVH God.

truth.passion.excellence

Faith Is...

As a follow up to a recent sermon I heard on faith, I decided to study out Romans 10:17. The impetus for this is that I knew we don't get "more" faith, but rather that our faith is developed. With that in mind, check this out:

Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

I decided to break this down by studying the Greek definitions of each word and rewording the sentence as needed.

"So then" - actually better translated as drawing a conclusion, decisive, no doubt

"comes" - is not in the original text, added by translators

"by" - denotes the origin of, out of, directly from

"hearing" - understanding, come to the hearer, preached, report

"by" - different from the previous "by" - through the act, because of, by occasion of

"Word" - this is a big one, this word is "rhema" (RAY-mah) - the spoken Word. literally, an utterance

"God" - the supreme being

Now let's see if we can assemble the parts:

"I conclude without a doubt, faith originates directly from understanding through the spoken Word of God."

That puts an entirely different light on it doesn't it?

To hear the Word of God spoken to your heart brings revelation, life, light, liberty, etc. This can be substituted for "understanding" in the sentence above, creating an even more thorough definition.

"I conclude without a doubt, faith originates directly from revelation (revealed knowledge) through the spoken Word of God."

Have you heard God speak to you recently? If not, what condition do you think your faith is in?

truth.passion.excellence

Hearing God?

A real issue facing the church these days is that far too many do not know how to discern Jehovah God speaking to them. The church is not teaching them either. How are we going to have a body of real believers if they don't know how to hear the voice of the one and only Almighty Living God?

This is the void that I will try to fill.

The next blog I post will have lots of solid information about how to hear Yahweh God speak to you. He's speaking all the time. Are you listening?

Are you interested? Send me a message, comment, anything at all - and let me know what's on your mind.

I am out to change lives, is your life a candidate?

truth.passion.excellence

The Creep

This is an excerpt from my dream journal:

The creep:

Nearing the end of a power nap - I was in a dream state but this was not actually a dream:

A dark spirit attempts to torment me with a verbose, somewhat eloquent and feebly poetic attempt to rant about who he is and how powerful he is. He used terms such as ’sultan of darkness’ and others that hint at the devil himself. My flesh crawls at the sound of the words. My flesh is actually physically jumping, so I know that this devil is trying to oppress me by applying pressure to my flesh. I wake up at the end of this visitation and immediately say (speaking to the devil) ’Oh, it’s only you. You have less power than a fart in a whirlwind.’ I rebuke the devil before I move on with my day. For the next few days, things don’t go as well as expected. Until I spend a decent amount of time in prayer. Then things return to normal.

Lesson: ’Give NO PLACE to the devil.’

truth.passion.excellence
