  • The Eaglet

There was once an eaglet that had lost it's parents and wound up being raised with chickens. This happened before the eaglet knew how to fly. It watched how the chickens pecked the ground and tried to do the same, but never understood why it's beak was different and just wouldn't work to peck the ground. It wondered why it's feathers were turning brown when all of the chickens in the coop had white feathers. It wondered why it was growing so much bigger than the chickens too...

The eaglet saw other birds fly around the area and asked the chickens why he was so different and why he didn't fly too. The chickens were simple. They answered "You can't fly, you're a chicken." This left the eaglet so disappointed. He felt as if his dream to fly was crushed...

One day, an eagle soared overhead and the eaglet spotted it. This caused the eaglet to be inspired. It thought "that must be what I'm made for because this seems so wrong here. I look like that, I don't look like these chickens." This went on for days. The eaglet couldn't stop thinking about it. Then the day came that the eaglet decided that it was going to try to fly like the bird it saw overhead. He believed he could fly. He told himself so...

The eaglet tried and tried with no success at first, but after some time, it finally managed to get airborn for a few seconds. That's when the eaglet knew his dream was a reality. He now knew he was destined for something greater...

The eaglet never stopped trying to fly and eventually was able to leave the chicken coop and soar high above the ground. He had realized his destiny. It had been calling him all that time he was pecking around in the dirt...

Think about this... would you rather be pecking around in the dirt with the chickens that say "You can't..." or would you rather soar high like an eagle and realize your destiny?

You CAN do all things through Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) which strengthens you. If someone says you can't, chose not to believe them.
